The professorships
The professorships intend to encourage independent research by outstanding junior researchers, analogously to the research groups of the Max Planck Society or the Emmy Noether Program of the German Research Foundation (DFG). The professorships are endowed with travel and guest funds during the initial period. Bonn Junior Fellows also have access to additional resources of the Hausdorff Center. Bonn Junior Fellows are encouraged to supervise doctoral students.
